Community Fiber

Fiber internet for homes and businesses across Elkhart and Kosciusko counties, built and installed by our own crews out of New Paris. It’s the newest company in the NPTech family, and it’s where most of our building is happening right now.

Where Community Fiber came from

Community Fiber started out as Goshen Fiber Network. Once the network kept going past Goshen, into New Paris, Milford, Middlebury, Nappanee, Wakarusa and Elkhart, the old name stopped making sense, so it changed. The company behind it didn’t. Community Fiber is a division of New Paris Telephone, the outfit that strung the first phone lines through New Paris in 1901 and goes by NPTech now.

It’s fiber the whole way to the house. Uploads run as fast as downloads, there are no data caps, and nobody signs a contract. Businesses can get dedicated circuits up to 10 Gbps, with service level agreements if they need them. Every business connection gets quoted on its own, because no two buildings are wired the same way.

When a truck pulls up, the crew is ours. Community Fiber’s technicians run the drop from the street, splice and terminate the fiber wherever your equipment actually sits, and speed-test the line before they pack up.

How it fits with NPTech

NPTech is the parent company. Community Fiber builds and runs the fiber network, and NPTech’s billing team handles the accounts, which is why a fiber bill gets paid through the same SmartHub login as every other NPTech service.

It also means a business doesn’t have to start over with a stranger for the rest of its setup. Community Fiber quotes the connection, and the same family can bring in SimplifyTech for IT and Advanced Products Group for the phones.

Questions people ask

Is Community Fiber the same company as NPTech?

Yes. Community Fiber is a division of NPTech, which used to be called New Paris Telephone. Same owners, same New Paris office, same billing team.

Where can I get Community Fiber?

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. None of the plans have a contract or a data cap.

Who do I call if my internet is down?

Internet tech support is 888-831-4678. You can also open a ticket at communityfiber.net/support.

Can a business get more than a gig?

Yes. Business circuits go up to 10 Gbps, with the same upload and download speed, and service level agreements are available. Business connections are priced one at a time, so the place to start is a quote from Community Fiber’s business team.
