We offer basic Telephone Service in our local New Paris Exchange. Below are the prices for Residential and Business Telephone Service.

Residential Phone Service

NPTech Service fee: $16.67 per month*

Taxes, surcharges, state & federal fees: $13.05 per month

Residential service lines have Touch-Tone (push button) service. Touch-Tone is the phone service you need today to let you talk to computers, pagers and remote control equipment.

Telephone Service for the hard of hearing and deaf

Relay Indiana provides full telephone accessibility for people who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired. Relay Indiana processes over 1 million calls every year and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Specially trained Communication Assistants connect the call and remain on the line to assist in the conversation.

Lifeline / Link-Up Assistance Service

New Paris Telephone Company offers Lifeline Assistance for voice landline service to eligible customers.  Lifeline Assistance provides eligible residential customers with a $5.25 discount on monthly local phone service.

The new ACP program provides a $30 discount on monthly broadband internet service when selecting a speed package of 30Meg / 3Meg service.

Lifeline Assistance and the ACP is available to all residential customers who meet the following requirements:

  • Customers, their dependents, or their household are participants in one of the following programs:
    • Medicaid
    • SNAP (or free school lunch eligible)
    • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
    • Federal public housing assistance (Section 8)
    • Veteran’s or Survivor’s Pension Benefit.
  • In addition, you may be eligible if your household income is at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Lifeline and ACP customers must annually recertify their continued eligibility by the anniversary of their service start date.
